What the balance means

The Hafilat card holds a prepaid balance in AED. Each ride deducts the fare when you tap on the on-board validator. When the balance drops below the price of a single fare, you'll be prompted to reload before boarding again.

The number here is the last known balance recorded against the card number you entered. If your last ride was very recent, the network sync may lag by up to a few hours. For an exact live figure, tap the card at any bus validator — the reader shows the current amount.

Low on balance?

  • Head to Recharge and enter the same card number.
  • Pick an amount from AED 5 to AED 500.
  • Confirm the payment — same working-day update.
